We all want to be able to treat our significant other to something nice for Valentine’s Day or just any day in general but our economy just said
But that’s not to worry because there are so many other ways you can treat your loved ones to a lovely Valentine’s date without breaking your bank, especially here in Suva.
Here are 5 cheap yet exciting date ideas (in no particular order) that you can do with your s/o this Valentine’s Day.
- Dinner and a Movie I
I know, sounds super cliche but think about it…
Just buy ga some takeout from your favorite restaurant, come back home,
have a candlelit dinner with your favorite movie or TV series playing and just enjoy your evening with your baby.
This is perfect especially if your partner is an introvert or a homebody.
2. Hike up Mount Korobaba
This one here is for the more adventurous and ‘fit’ couples and it will only cost you $1.45 to get there by bus.
And it’s also kind of metaphorical if you asked me because hiking up Mt Korobaba is much like a relationship.
You’re going to struggle a bit getting there but the view from the top will be worth it.
3. Visit the Fijian Museum
Our museum isn’t even that expensive and if I remember correctly entry fee should be less than $5 if you’re a local.
It may not be an art museum like the Lourve in Paris but what other interactive way can you learn more about your history and each other!?
Couple that with ice cream cones after and you would’ve just created a core memory.
4. Go on a Picnic
I know Suva weather can be a lil unpredictable but if you find that it’s nice outside
why not take your s/o out for a picnic.
Just make a few sandwiches and juice, and find somewhere shady but cool and enjoy each other’s company.
You don’t need to go somewhere fancy to impress your partner.
5. Roadtrip!
Just get in the car and drive wherever.
Go to a landmark or go chasing waterfalls.
You may use a lil extra on fuel for this date idea here but I can guarantee
that you’ll both create lasting memories together.
Basically whatever you do for your partner make sure that there was a lot of thought and effort put into it and they will appreciate you regardless.
