A kidnapping claim in the west shook parents to the core over the weekend.
A few angry parents claimed that a 16-year-old volunteer from an overseas volunteer group had kidnapped their children.
This was proven to not be true after the volunteer in question told his side of the story.
Apparently, the volunteer had gone to Churchill Park to watch rugby where he picked up rubbish afterwards.
He then went to the children’s park to meet with his own peers, but the kids followed him on their own accord.
After a group debrief with the volunteer and his peers, he then walked the kids back to Churchill Park where they followed him from.
That’s when he was met by these angry parents who then proceeded to assault him.
The 16-year-old will not be pressing charges, but this story is enough to make you really rethink your accusations before you take action.
